What the reading looks at
Palmistry starts with the shape of the hand: the proportion of the palm to the fingers gives one of four types, earth, air, fire or water. Then come the three main lines. The heart line, across the top of the palm, is about feelings and attachment; the head line, across the middle, is about how you think and decide; the life line, around the thumb, is about energy and how you live.
The fate line, the mounts (the soft pads under the fingers) and rare signs such as a star or a triangle refine the picture. Not everyone has a visible fate line, and that is normal: it means you shape your own path rather than follow a set one.
How to take a good photo
Daylight from a window works best. Hold the phone about 25–30 cm from the palm, keep the whole hand in the frame from the wrist to the fingertips and spread the fingers a little. Avoid the flash: its glare hides the finer lines.
Questions
How does palm reading from a photo work?
Hand recognition in your browser finds the palm and traces the three main lines. A vision model then checks the finer features: where the heart line ends, how the head line runs, the fate line, the mounts and clear signs. Each feature has its own meaning, and the reading puts them together.
Which hand should I photograph?
Your dominant hand, the one you write with. In palmistry it shows what you have made of your life so far, while the other hand shows what you were born with.
Is my photo saved?
No. The photo is read once and discarded; only the features (for example, “heart line curved, ends under the index finger”) are kept, without your name.
Does the life line show how long I will live?
No. In modern palmistry the life line describes energy, vitality and big changes of direction, not the length of a life. A short life line is common and says nothing about lifespan.
