Destiny Matrix Compatibility Calculator
Enter two birth dates to see your couple matrix: the core of your relationship, what pulls you together and the lesson you keep meeting.
How the couple matrix works
The destiny matrix turns a birth date into numbers from 1 to 22, one for each Major Arcanum. Your day of birth gives your character point, the month gives your talents, the digit sum of the year gives your karmic point. Adding those gives the main trial, and adding all four gives the center of the matrix: the core of a person.
A couple matrix puts two personal matrices on top of each other. Each point of the couple is the sum of the same point in both people, reduced to 1–22 again. If one of you has a core of 9 and the other 14, the couple core is 23, which reduces to 2 + 3 = 5, The Hierophant.
That is why the couple core often looks nothing like either of you. It describes what appears only when you are together.
The four points we show
The core of your couple is the sum of both centers. The main theme of the relationship.
What draws you together comes from both character points: the first impression and the spark.
How you love comes from both relationship lines: how the two of you show care.
Your shared lesson comes from both trial points: the situation that repeats until you handle it differently.
The 22 arcana in a couple
Short meanings for the core of a couple. The full reading goes much deeper.
1The Magician · Will and beginnings
You start things together. Plans, moves, projects: the relationship comes alive when there is something new on the table, and goes flat when nothing is being built.
2The High Priestess · Intuition and the unsaid
A lot between you happens without words. You read each other well, and the bond lives in what you sense rather than what you say out loud.
3The Empress · Care and abundance
This pair is about comfort, warmth and making a home, whatever form that takes. You feel best when you are taking care of each other and of shared things.
4The Emperor · Structure and security
You build something solid. Rules, plans and reliability matter to both of you, and trust grows from promises kept.
5The Hierophant · Shared values
You are held together by what you believe in: principles, traditions, a common view of what is right. You also teach each other a lot.
6The Lovers · Choice and attraction
Strong attraction and a relationship built on choosing each other, again and again. Feelings run high here, in both directions.
7The Chariot · Movement and goals
You are a team on the move. Travel, ambitions and shared goals keep the bond alive. Standing still is what hurts this pair most.
8Justice · Fairness and balance
Fairness is the heart of this pair. You both keep score, sometimes without noticing, and feel good only when give and take are even.
9The Hermit · Depth and space
A quiet, deep connection. You need personal space and long talks in equal measure, and the bond grows in calm, not in noise.
10Wheel of Fortune · Change and timing
A relationship of turns and seasons. Meetings that felt fated, ups and downs, periods that change everything. Luck plays a visible part.
11Strength · Passion and resilience
A strong, physical, passionate pair. You can carry a lot together, and the bond often grows stronger after a hard stretch.
12The Hanged Man · A new angle
This pair changes how both of you see things. The relationship asks you to pause, let go of old ideas and look at life from another side.
13Transformation · Endings and rebirth
A relationship that transforms both of you. Old habits and old versions of yourselves end here, and that can feel intense.
14Temperance · Harmony and healing
A calm, healing pair. You balance each other out and feel safe, as if the other person evens out your extremes.
15The Devil · Desire and attachment
Powerful chemistry and strong attachment. Money, pleasure and sex are big themes, and so is the question of who holds whom.
16The Tower · Breakthroughs
A relationship that breaks old structures. Sudden turns, sudden moves, sudden honesty: this pair is never boring and rarely stays the same for long.
17The Star · Hope and inspiration
You inspire each other. The pair is about dreams, creativity and believing in the other person, sometimes more than they believe in themselves.
18The Moon · Feelings and mystery
An emotional, intuitive and sometimes confusing pair. You feel each other strongly, but not everything is clear, and old fears tend to surface.
19The Sun · Joy and warmth
A warm, open, joyful pair. You are good together in public and in private, and others often see you as a happy couple.
20Judgement · Family and calling
A pair connected to family, roots and something larger than the two of you. Relatives, kids or a shared calling often play a big role.
21The World · Wholeness and horizons
A relationship that opens the world. Travel, other cultures, a big shared picture, and the feeling that together you are complete.
22The Fool · Freedom and play
A light, spontaneous, playful pair. You keep each other young and open to adventure, and the bond suffers whenever it gets too serious.
Questions
How is destiny matrix compatibility calculated?
Each person gets a personal matrix from their birth date: the day, the month and the digit sum of the year are reduced to numbers from 1 to 22, the 22 Major Arcana. The couple matrix adds the same points of both matrices together and reduces the result again. So the core of your couple is the sum of your two personal cores, reduced to 1–22.
Do I need our birth times?
No. The destiny matrix uses only the date of birth. Birth time and place matter for astrology charts, not for this method.
Is there a compatibility percentage?
We do not give one. Two arcana are not "more" or "less" compatible as numbers: every combination has its gift and its trap. A percentage would hide exactly the part that is useful to know.
Can the matrix tell if we will stay together?
No method can promise that. The couple matrix shows the themes your relationship keeps returning to and where you tend to get stuck. What you do with that is up to the two of you.
Is the calculator free?
Yes. The couple core, what draws you together, how you love and your shared lesson are free and need no sign-up. The full written reading for your two dates is paid.
Does it work for friends or family?
The calculation works for any two people. The descriptions on this page are written for romantic couples, so read them with that in mind.
