Step 1. Start from the center

The circle in the middle is the core of your couple: both personal centers added together and reduced to 1–22. It is the theme the relationship keeps returning to. Read its description first and ask a simple question: when were we happiest, and did it look like this? Usually it did.

Step 2. The four outer points

Left, the day point, is the first impression and the spark. It explains why you noticed each other.

Top, the month point, is what you bring each other from your families: habits, values, ways of caring.

Right, the year point, holds the karmic task of the couple, what you came together to work out.

Bottom, the trial, is the shared lesson. The same kind of conflict tends to return until you handle it differently.

Step 3. The diagonal square

The four corner points are sums of their neighbors. The top-left corner is your comfort zone as a couple, what restores you both. The top-right and bottom-left corners describe what each family line adds to the relationship. The bottom-right corner is the karmic tail of the couple: the old scenario you are most likely to replay together.

Step 4. The love line

The love line is the couple center plus the month point. It describes how you show love to each other day to day: words, actions, time, presents or space. When partners feel unloved, it is often because one of them gives love in a way the other does not notice. The line shows the language you share.

Step 5. Put it together

A useful reading fits in three sentences: what we are about (the center), where we get stuck (the trial and the tail), and how we take care of each other (the love line). If a description does not fit at all, look at the gift and the trap of the same arcanum: couples often live the trap side first.

Which point of a couple chart should I read first?

The center. It is the core of the couple and colors every other point. Then read the trial at the bottom: it shows what the two of you will be tested on.

What if our couple core is a "difficult" arcanum like The Tower or The Devil?

No arcanum is good or bad for a couple. The Tower brings change and honesty, The Devil brings strong chemistry. The descriptions name both the gift and the trap so you know what to lean into and what to watch.

Does it matter who is "you" and who is "them"?

No. Every couple point is a sum, so swapping the two people gives exactly the same chart.

What is the karmic tail of a couple?

The bottom-right point of the couple chart: the sum of both karmic tails. It points to the scenario the couple tends to replay, often one that both partners knew before they met.
