How the number is found

Each person has a destiny matrix built from their birth date. Adding the two charts point by point, and reducing every sum to a number from 1 to 22, gives the chart of the couple. Its center is the compatibility number. It is not an average of the two people: two calm people can create a restless couple, and the other way round.

The number shows the theme of the relationship. The other points of the couple chart, explained on how to read a couple chart, show the attraction, the way you love and the lesson you keep meeting.

All 22 compatibility numbers

1The Magician · Will and beginnings

Day to day: Your weekends fill up with plans: a trip to book, a room to repaint, a side project one of you pitched on Tuesday. Quiet Sundays feel slightly wrong to you both.

When you argue: You argue over who decides, usually mid-plan. It ends when one of you says "your call this time" and means it.

Ask yourselves: What are we building right now that belongs to both of us?

2The High Priestess · Intuition and the unsaid

Day to day: You can sit in the same room for an hour without talking and feel close. A lot passes between you in looks and half-sentences that friends do not catch.

When you argue: Arguments are rarely loud. One of you goes quiet and the other guesses why, and it clears once someone says the thing out loud.

Ask yourselves: What have I been expecting you to guess instead of telling you?

3The Empress · Care and abundance

Day to day: Home matters a lot: good food, a comfortable couch, friends over on Saturday. You show love by looking after each other in very practical ways.

When you argue: The fight is usually about effort: who cooks, who remembers, who gives more. Making up often looks like a meal one of you made without being asked.

Ask yourselves: Do we both feel looked after, or is one of us doing most of the caring?

4The Emperor · Structure and security

Day to day: You run the relationship a bit like a good household: shared calendar, a budget, clear roles. Friends come to you two when they need something reliable.

When you argue: Clashes come from control: whose way is the right way to load the dishwasher or plan the year. You settle it with a rule you both agree on.

Ask yourselves: When did we last do something just for fun, with no plan behind it?

5The Hierophant · Shared values

Day to day: Your shared values do a lot of work: how you treat family, what you think is fair, how you want to raise kids or spend holidays. You often learn from each other.

When you argue: Fights start when one of you lectures the other. They end when the one who was "right" admits there was another way to see it.

Ask yourselves: Which of our rules did we choose together, and which did we just inherit?

6The Lovers · Choice and attraction

Day to day: There is still a spark when you text during the day. Small choices feel big here: which city, which friends, whether to move in. Romance is not optional for you two.

When you argue: Jealousy and comparison start most arguments. You make up when one of you says plainly, "I chose you, and I would again."

Ask yourselves: What do we each need to hear to stop doubting this?

7The Chariot · Movement and goals

Day to day: You are a couple on the move: new jobs, new places, a goal for the year. Downtime makes you restless, so even holidays end up with an itinerary.

When you argue: Arguments are about direction and speed: one wants to go now, the other wants to wait. A shared deadline usually ends it.

Ask yourselves: Are we heading somewhere we both actually want to go?

8Justice · Fairness and balance

Day to day: You keep things fair without much discussion: bills split, turns taken, promises kept. Trust builds slowly here and then holds very well.

When you argue: The trigger is a sense of imbalance, "I always" and "you never". It resolves when you lay out the facts calmly and fix the deal.

Ask yourselves: Is there anything between us that feels unfair and has not been said?

9The Hermit · Depth and space

Day to day: Each of you needs time alone, and you both get it. Evenings can be two books on one couch. Your best talks happen late, about big questions.

When you argue: Distance is the usual problem: one of you withdraws for too long. It mends with a direct "I miss you, come back."

Ask yourselves: How much space do we each need, and have we ever said the number out loud?

10Wheel of Fortune · Change and timing

Day to day: Life together comes in waves. A great month, a hard one, then a sudden lucky break. You get good at changing plans at the last minute.

When you argue: You fight when things go badly and each blames the circumstances or the other. You make up by deciding what you will do next together.

Ask yourselves: What keeps us steady when everything around us changes?

11Strength · Passion and resilience

Day to day: There is a lot of energy between you: sport, ambitious plans, strong opinions at dinner. Desire and attraction stay high for years.

When you argue: Arguments get heated fast because both of you push. They end when one of you lowers the volume first and the other follows.

Ask yourselves: Are we using our strength for each other or against each other?

12The Hanged Man · A new angle

Day to day: You make room for each other, sometimes too much: rearranging plans, taking on the other's problems. You see each other's point of view easily.

When you argue: Resentment builds quietly until one of you says "I always give in." It clears when the other offers something in return without being asked.

Ask yourselves: What have I given up for us that I never told you about?

13Transformation · Endings and rebirth

Day to day: Your relationship keeps changing shape: new city, new routine, new version of each other. You rarely stay in the same arrangement for long.

When you argue: Fights come when one of you wants to keep something the other is ready to drop. They settle when you name what is actually over.

Ask yourselves: What part of our old life together are we still holding on to out of habit?

14Temperance · Harmony and healing

Day to day: Things between you tend to run calmly: you talk problems through, find a middle way, and rarely make scenes. Friends describe you as easy to be around.

When you argue: When you do argue, it is about something long avoided. It ends with a compromise that both of you can actually live with.

Ask yourselves: Are we keeping the peace or skipping a conversation we need?

15The Devil · Desire and attachment

Day to day: The pull between you is strong: physical attraction, shared pleasures, a feeling of being hooked on each other. Spending, partying or work can get intense when you do it together.

When you argue: Arguments are about possessiveness or habits one of you wants to cut back on. You make up when you set a limit together and keep it.

Ask yourselves: Is there anything we do together that we would both like to do less of?

16The Tower · Breakthroughs

Day to day: Your relationship does not sit still. Big news, sudden decisions and honest blowups are part of it, and afterwards you often feel closer than before.

When you argue: Tension builds and then breaks all at once. You recover by talking it through the next day and changing the thing that caused it.

Ask yourselves: What small problem are we ignoring that could turn into a big one?

17The Star · Hope and inspiration

Day to day: You are each other's biggest fans: you share dreams, plan the future, and believe in the other's ideas. Hope runs high in this couple.

When you argue: Disappointment starts most fights, when the real person falls short of the picture. It mends when you name a plan instead of a wish.

Ask yourselves: Which of our dreams have we turned into an actual next step?

18The Moon · Feelings and mystery

Day to day: There is depth and intuition between you, plus a lot of feeling that is hard to put into words. Late-night talks and mixed signals both happen here.

When you argue: Fights grow out of worries and assumptions about what the other is thinking. They end when you check the facts instead of the fears.

Ask yourselves: What am I afraid of in us that I have never asked you about?

19The Sun · Joy and warmth

Day to day: You are warm and open together: friends over, kids or pets in the picture, plenty of laughter. People like being around the two of you.

When you argue: Arguments are about attention and credit, who shines and who supports. You make up by praising each other properly, out loud.

Ask yourselves: Do we each feel seen by the other, not only by everyone else?

20Judgement · Family and calling

Day to day: Family and roots matter a lot here: parents, traditions, old stories. You talk about the past and about what you want to pass on.

When you argue: Old grudges and family loyalties start fights. They end when you deal with what happened between you two, not what happened back then.

Ask yourselves: Which family habit have we brought into us without deciding to?

21The World · Wholeness and horizons

Day to day: You like a big life: travel, people from different places, plans that go beyond the two of you. Home is wherever you both are.

When you argue: Fights come when one of you feels the relationship got smaller than promised. They end with a new shared plan, often a trip.

Ask yourselves: Is there still room in our life for things that are just for us?

22The Fool · Freedom and play

Day to day: Spontaneous plans, inside jokes, saying yes to things. You keep each other playful, and rules feel heavy to both of you.

When you argue: Arguments happen when one of you wants commitment and the other jokes it away. You make up when the serious answer finally comes.

Ask yourselves: What are we avoiding by keeping things light?

Questions

What is the compatibility number in the destiny matrix?

It is the center of the couple chart: each point of both personal charts is added together and reduced to 1–22, and the center of that combined chart is the number of the couple. It describes what the relationship is about at its heart.

Is there a bad compatibility number?

No. Every number from 1 to 22 has an easy side and a hard side. Numbers like 15 or 16 bring more intensity, numbers like 3 or 14 more calm, and couples with any of them can do well.

What does destiny matrix compatibility 11 mean?

11 is Strength: a couple with a lot of energy and desire, strong opinions and heated arguments that end when one of you lowers the volume first. The full meaning is in the list below.

Some sites give compatibility as a percentage. Why not here?

Two birth dates do not produce a meaningful percentage. The couple number and the points around it describe what the relationship is built on, which is more useful than a score.
